Sabres Sign Defenseman Gavin McCarthy to 3-Year Entry-Level Contract

The Sabres officially signed defenseman Gavin McCarthy to a three-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday. The 20-year-old 2023 third-round pick and former Junior Sabre is turning pro following a productive junior season as captain of Boston University, where he tallied 21 points and a +12 rating. As part of the move, McCarthy is slated to join the Rochester Americans to finish out the season.
