Welcome back to SabresHub.com, Buffalo. The wait is almost over. The National Hockey League has officially released the second-round playoff schedule for our Buffalo Sabres. The action kicks off this Wednesday night right here in Western New York.
We still do not know exactly who will be skating onto the ice at KeyBank Center. The Sabres are eagerly awaiting the winner of the decisive Game 7 matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning, which takes place on Sunday.
Regardless of the opponent, the dates are set.
Official Sabres Second-Round Playoff Schedule
The boys will start the series with home-ice advantage. Here is the full breakdown of when the team will be playing. Please note that games five through seven will only be played if the series requires them.
- Game 1: Wednesday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. at KeyBank Center (TNT, truTV, HBO MAX)
- Game 2: Friday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at KeyBank Center (TNT, truTV, HBO MAX)
- Game 3: Sunday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. on the road (ESPN)
- Game 4: Tuesday, May 12 on the road, time to be determined (ESPN)
- Game 5: Thursday, May 14 at KeyBank Center, time to be determined (TNT, truTV, HBO MAX)
- Game 6: Saturday, May 16 on the road, time to be determined (ABC or ESPN)

National television networks hold exclusive broadcast rights for this round. Consequently, you will not find the actual game footage on local television.
However, Sabres faithful can still get their local fix before the puck drops. Brian Duff and Marty Biron will provide comprehensive pregame and postgame analysis. You can catch their expert coverage on MSG, the team’s official app, or across their social media platforms like X, Facebook, and YouTube.

Fans can enjoy a pregame Party in the Plaza right outside the arena to get fired up. Afterward, an in-game Watch Party will take over Canalside for those who want to watch the game alongside fellow fans. These events are completely open to the public.
